OPINION ARTICLE ON THE NEW PLA

This is a very easy to print PLA filament, recommended for beginners and advanced users, and it is biodegradable, meaning it protects the environment.


Fil3D is always trying to give a better satisfaction to its customers.


Manufactured by Tucab, a Portuguese company that produces various types of filaments for 3D printers and materials for various areas.


What I liked least:


  • Nothing to point


What I liked the most:

  • Super highlight, possibility to print at a temperature of 180ºC 
  • Reel produced with recycled material
  • Reel with good quantity of holes to insert the filament tip when not in use
  • Filament gives garments a little shiny look
  • Acceptable diameter, no need to calibrate flow
  • Very low stringing at 180º.
  • Not very brittle filament

180ºC level without a doubt the one with the best quality


Settings:

Hotend temperature: 180/205ºC*

Table temperature: 50ºC

Retraction: 3mm

Retraction speed: 40mm/s

First layer: 0.15mm*

Settings vary from printer to printer, never copy/paste settings you find on Mr. google, they can damage your machine and you will be banging your head.


Calibrating the table with a receipt from the supermarket is halfway to avoiding headaches.
