FIL3D: Solutions for Common Problems in 3D Printing

Tucab, with the FIL3D filament line, offers a wide range of options for 3D printing, ensuring quality and versatility for various projects.

However, even with the best materials, some challenges may arise during the printing process.

Check out the most common problems and how to fix or avoid them:

1. Warping (Deformation of Layers)Cause: Temperature difference between the base and the printed filament.

How to avoid:

Use a heated table (50-60°C for PLA and 70-90°C for ABS).

Apply adhesives to the base, such as glue stick or special tape. Make sure the printing environment is draft-free.

2. Irregular Extrusion or Underextrusion

Cause:

Clogged nozzle or improper extrusion settings.

How to fix:

Check that the nozzle is not clogged and clean it if necessary.

Adjust the flow rate in the slicing software.

Be sure to use quality filaments, such as those in the FIL3D line, which have Precise tolerance on diameter.

3. First Layer Peeling

Cause:

Insufficient adhesion between the table and filament.

How to avoid:

Properly calibrate the distance between the nozzle and the table.

Apply suitable adhesive or use a textured print bed.

Make sure the table is level.

4. Visible Lines or Scratches on Layers

Cause:

Vibrations or inaccuracy in axis movement.

How to fix:

Make sure all printer screws and belts are well adjusted.

Reduce print speed to improve accuracy.

5. Filament Breaking or Clogging During Printing

Cause:

Low quality filament or excessive moisture.

How to avoid:

Store filaments in a dry place and use desiccants.
