Although the Tucab filament has faced some problems in the past, mainly during the beginning of the pandemic, when there was a very high demand for 3D filament for the production of visors, orotracheal tube clamps among other objects such as mask holders, etc., more recently the company has been improving the production process and solving problems that were identified by users.
Recently I have been using filament that Tucab sent me to test. I tried 3 PLA coils (orange, black and neutral). Since my printer, Blocks Zero, does not have a heated base, I offered an ABS coil and a PET-G coil to 2 friends, who really liked the filament and did not experience any problems.
Packaging
The coils come Vacuum packed, as expected, and a silica bag is present to absorb moisture. Although it is not the most perfect winding I have seen so far, and I have certainly used filament from more than 10 different manufacturers, the winding is very good and there would be no problems with intertwined filament. At this point I think that no other brand that I have tested so far, even the most premium ones, beats BQ's Easy Go filaments (however, BQ has disappeared from the market). About this subject I wrote this article and 2018.
