IN TPU manufactured in Portugal
TPU is an abbreviation for polyurethane thermoplastic, whose products manufactured with this raw material are generally the best option for applications that require high flexibility and a small radius of curvature, where there is a need for solutions for bending/twisting in a reduced diameter. They present properties that allow applications in low temperature areas and where high and continuous flexibility is essential, they also have the following properties:
· durability, with resistance to abrasion
· Excellent flexibility, with high damping capacity
· malleability, with excellent bending radius
· High resistance to torsion, compression, oils and shock
· excellent acceptance of colors and possibility of transparency
· Good performance at low temperatures
· It is also possible to improve its characteristics with anti-UV and antioxidant protection
TPU tubes can be used in various application environments, mainly in low pressure pneumatic and hydraulic systems, filament for 3D printing, robotics, industrial automation, distribution panels and dosers. Furthermore, they are suitable for assemblies with reduced bending radii. They are not recommended for automotive safety applications (e.g. air brakes), nor for the passage of drinking water. Recommended working temperature: from -20ºC to +60ºC. Working pressure: working pressures vary according to the diameter and thickness of the tube wall, always observing the working temperature
