At Tucab we are aware of the importance of quality in business development, and so we have defined 2022 as the year of Quality in our organisation, which will allow us to improve behaviours, attitudes, activities and processes that provide value and satisfy clients.
Our products are subject to a careful control of their specifications such as length, diameter, thickness, width, visual aspect, weight, etc... This monitoring is defined and documented in specific quality control records of self-control, and, additionally, the Quality Department supervises the product and carries out a validation of each production by sampling.
To do this, we have a wide range of equipment, namely:
- Diameter gauges on the FIL3D line and on the medical/hospital lines, which continuously record the external diameter of our products, enabling us to check product conformity on time throughout production;
- Force pachymeter, which allows the control of the pressure exerted on the product and which, due to the low force exerted, guarantees exact measurements (mainly on flexible products);
- Pachymeter with bluetooth transmission, automatically registering the measured data in an excel sheet;
- Internal micrometer with 3 contact tips ideal and precise for measuring internal diameters.
- A spectrometer (FTIR) that allows us to verify the composition and identify the raw material;
- An analytical balance that determines the density of raw material and product;
- A humidity measurer for ensuring the conformity of our raw materials that are affected by moisture content.
In addition to the equipment mentioned above, TUCAB has implemented a management system that is certified in accordance with the following normative references:
- ISO 9001:2015 – Quality Management System
- UNI CEI EN ISO 13485:2016 – Quality Management System for Medical Devices (Applied to the production of non-sterile extrusion tubes for non-active medical devices in the third part), and the Clean Room was classified as ISO class 8 by the clean room validation test according to ISO 14644.

In support of our service, industrial research, experimental development and innovation in solutions for products extruded from polymers also allows us to offer a wider range of solutions to our customers, which is why Tucab is certified by:
