When statistics tell us that over 90% of companies disappear before the first five years of their life, and when we compete in increasingly competitive and globalised international markets, reaching the mythical age of 25th anniversary fills the Tucab team with pride and defines well the resilient DNA of our company.

The longevity of companies does not happen by chance or luck, we have got this far because, despite the numerous setbacks along the way, we have not deviated from the defined strategy, but essentially because we have always had teams with the "Tucab spirit". Without doubt, Tucab's employees are its most important asset, more important even than the brands and products themselves. They are active people who like to do things, who give ideas, who never say that it is too much work and even less say that it is not. Only a team with this character, with this competence in unity of effort and objectives, can achieve this longevity with the status of market leader in some products and manufacture others that are unique and innovative in Portugal. I would like to thank each and every one of you for the effort and dedication you put into your work every day. You are proof that success is achieved through talent, determination and hard work. You are all to be congratulated for the excellent work you have done, and for the spirit of unity and sacrifice that exists at Tucab. Thank you all.

Did we do everything right along this long path? Of course not, and we have no doubt that we must highlight the many mistakes made along the way, because without them we would not have been able to achieve the manufacture of technical and unique tubes and profiles in Portugal, and we would never have been able to become suppliers in the medical-hospital, automotive and 3D printing areas. It has been established at Tucab that mistakes are part of the solution, but the most important thing is to be aware of them, to know how to get up after a tumble and to keep focused on the fact that a mistake can be one of the best ways to solve our problem.

Without fail, we have also done things we are proud of, such as: we are the extrusion company with the most certifications in the Iberian Peninsula, we have the only white room in Portugal and Spain that is suitable for the production of tubes for medical devices (certified class 7), we are leaders in Portugal in the production of filament for 3D printing, polyamide corrugated tubes, TPU tubes for the medical/hospital and pneumatic areas, etc. 

Even though internally we have made an effort to acquire the necessary skills and equipment to produce unique, competitive and quality products, all the above-mentioned achievements would not have been possible without the preference and loyalty of our customers, who have helped us to grow, who have trusted us, who continue to support us, value us and challenge us every day to new projects. Without them we would not have got here. Thank you all for being part of our family and for having been decisive for this longevity.  

A special word also to our stakeholders, who have accompanied us along this path, not always easy, full of challenges, with unexpected moments and unwanted situations. The technical excellence that Tucab has achieved was only possible because we had suppliers and employees of some suppliers, who believed in us, who embraced our projects as their own, who believe that the Portuguese are as capable as the others. This innovation partnership, Tucab/Suppliers, has enabled some products which Portugal used to import to be exported by Tucab, thus helping to balance the trade balance, reduce the ecological footprint and create jobs in Portugal. Thank you all, we will never forget your support.

Although in 2020/2021 we will experience a pandemic that has affected the whole of society and companies, taking us into a very difficult and troubled period, it is with hope and serenity that we will face the challenges ahead. If the past was one of learning, investment and innovation, the future that we visualise is one of affirmation and very strong growth, since the moment has arrived to enhance all the transformations that we have been operating in the company, with the aim of increasing market shares in the medical-hospital, pneumatic and 3D printing areas.
